LeBron Raymone James Sr., born the 30th of December, 1984, is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). The player is referred to as King James and is considered to be one of the greatest basketball players of all time. James was awarded two Olympic golds and four NBA titles. James is the NBA All-Star with the highest number of playoff points. He also has the second highest career point total and the seventh best assists total in his career. James was a basketball player for St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media as a future NBA superstar. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first during the NBA draft, as a pre-pro. After being named 2004 NBA Rookie Of The Year, he rapidly established himself as a premier player within the NBA and was awarded the NBA's MVP Award both in 2009 and 2010 He was unable to secure a championship with Cleveland James left in 2010 as a free agent in order to become a member of with the Miami Heat this was announced in the television program The Decision and is among the most controversial free agent decisions throughout sports history.
