Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9, 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. Her mother was brought up in the slums of Manila by her parents before she reached the age of 3. Her adoption was later completed. Her adopted father, a Filipino-American with military background, is white and American. She says that her and her brother, who was adopted as an infant, suffered abuse before they joined the military. For the purpose of moving to Texas, when she turned 13, her family spent many months staying in San Francisco to stay with her Aunt. She says the physical violence subsided within a couple of months but she was still forced to endure psychological abuse by her father. In 18 years she joined the United States Navy. Poarch was the first to join TikTok in April 2020, rapidly gaining fame. She amassed over 40 million fans in less that eight months. Millie B's video Soph Aspin Send, which became a worldwide sensation with Millie B was her greatest hit. The singer lip-synched and danced to the beat in a zoomed-out video. She started her YouTube and Twitter accounts during the time after the joining of TikTok to take advantage of the growing popularity. The fame of Poarch peaked in December of 2020. Two of the biggest Esports professional teams were reported to be intrigued by her. FaZe Clan (100 Thieves) and 100 Thieves are interested in hiring her to write content for their respective brands.
